Zoya: Magical Pixie Swatches & Review

Press Sample

Hello again! I know I already posted once today but I have to catch up on some posts and I figured no one wouldn’t mind a second post, right? Especially since the second one is an  awesome Zoya post! I have the Magical Pixie Trio to show you. These were first announced back at the beginning of the year, when I got that press release I was over the moon excited! It’s no secret I am all about the textured trend. I usually don’t like textures and normally when I find a tend I like I only stick to it for a little while and then I get bored. This is not the case with textured polishes, especially when Zoya keeps releasing such awesome shades! These are a little different than the PixieDust polishes we're used to because they have some added flair! Each of these three have

All three of these Magical Pixie formulas were consistent with what I have come to expect of Zoya PixieDusts: applying smooth, no flooding or pooling. You will need to make sure your first coat has sufficiently dried before continuing on to the second or you will end up with dragging and clumping.

Cosmo: described as “Silver Crystal Sparkle, Textured PixieDust with Mega Hex Iridescent Particles”
Shown as 2 coats, no top coat, with an accent nail of Cosmo stars over Zoya Raven

Lux: described as “Rose Quartz Sparkle, Textured PixieDust with Mega Hex Iridescent Particles”
Shown as 2 coats, no top coat, with an accent nail of Lux chevrons over Zoya Dove.

Vega: described as “Blue Opal Sparkle, Textured PixieDust with Mega Hex Iridescent Particles”
Shown as 2 coats, no top coat, with an accent nail of Vega hearts over Zoya Purity.

These were almost the same texture wise as regular PixieDust polishes, thought the chevron accent did prove to be difficult to wear out. The larger glitters were a bit more raised on those chevron nails and caught on everything. So if you're going to play with patterns and designs I’d suggest to skip the chevron unless it’s a thicker pattern.  Other than that little issue these were absolute perfection. So sparkly, and fancy and the best part is they are so simple. I love when I can polish and go, not needing to worry about top coat or how much of a pain in the butt removal will be, since Pixies are so much easier to remove than regular glitter.

You can purchase Zoya PixieDust  at www.zoya.com, they retail for $10 each. As always Zoya polishes are all 5 Free and Cruelty Free.

So are you still on board with the textured trend like me, or have you had enough?
I have another set of spring inspired sets from Zoya to show you all soon. I'm excited about this one as well, solid, smooth shades for you non textured fans!

Thanks for reading. Have a great evening!
